Who we are

Bugsy is run by Mohamed Raslan, based in Egypt. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Mohamed Raslan. If you have any question about your privacy, write to mohamedraslan2282@gmail.com.

What we do not collect

• There are no accounts, so there is no sign-up and no password.
• We do not ask for your name, email address or any other details to use the lessons.
• We do not sell or share personal information with anyone for advertising.

What stays in your browser

To make the site work, a few things are saved in your browser's localStorage (a small storage area on your own device):

• your learning progress: finished lessons and explainer pages, XP, level, streak and badges;
• your theme (light, dark or system) and whether sound is on;
• your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every visit.

This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us. We cannot see it.

Analytics (only if you allow it)

If you click "Allow" on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, so we can make better lessons. We use Google's Consent Mode: until you agree, the analytics script is not loaded and nothing is measured.

When you allow it, Google Analytics measures:

• which pages you view;
• lesson events, such as starting a lesson, finishing it and whether answers were right or wrong;
• your approximate country (from your IP address, which Google does not store in full);
• your device type, browser and screen size.

We never send your name, email or anything you type into Google Analytics. Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically, according to our Google Analytics settings. You can read more in Google's privacy policy.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw or give consent at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. If you withdraw, analytics stops straight away for future visits.

Ads

Bugsy does not show ads at the moment. If we add ads later (through Google AdSense), they will only use cookies or personal data if you agree, and we will update this page before that happens.

Children

Bugsy is meant for learners aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please use the site together with a parent or guardian, and only allow analytics with their permission.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what data we hold about you and to have it deleted. Because we do not store anything about you on our own servers, clearing your browser data for this site deletes your progress and settings completely.
