SELECT and WHERE
New idea
Say what you want, not how to find it
You don't open a database and scroll. You ask it a question in SQL, and the question is called a query. The surprise: you never say how to find the data, only what you want. The database works out the fastest way on its own.
SELECT name, age FROM users; means: from the users table, give me the name and age columns. SELECT * means every column. With nothing else, you get every row.
